About Our Founder
Denisha Gingles is an experienced Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst(in Maryland and New York) and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. In addition to the states she holds licensure, she also has provided ABA therapy services in Missouri and Kenya, Africa. Denisha has a diverse range of experience and has worked with various age groups, starting at 18 months ranging to adulthood within schools, clinics, in homes, and community settings.
Ms. Gingles is a leading researcher and futuristic thought leader, synthesizing social justice pedagogy with contemporary behavioral science. She brings a rich experience of community organizing and activism to bear on evidence-based approaches to behavior change with the science of behavior analysis, incorporating innovative approaches to complex human behavior. Her work takes a radically compassionate approach to igniting the behavior change needed to produce systemic social change in support of justice and equity within organizations reminding individuals that systems need humans to operate, therefore change and overhaul systemic oppression is always within reach. Ms. Gingles works tirelessly for social justice on multiple fronts, including community organizing, providing professional workshops and training, scholarly writing, and leadership in scholarly journals, including serving as Guest Editor for Behavior Analysis in Practice. She is a keynote and international speaker that has directly shaped personal, local, and organizational change, while concurrently instilling accountability and optimism for a better tomorrow.
As her experience shows, Ms. Gingles is passionate about behavior intervention, culturally relevant intervention, social justice, parent training, and staff training. She adamantly believes Applied Behavior Analysis will continue to evolve and prove useful to all living beings among a wide range of disciplines. As a behavior analyst, Denisha strives to provide high-quality, ethical services that will positively impact the clients she serves and moreso the broader community.
Denisha Gingles founded Signature Behavioral Health after working within the ABA and Psychology field for 11 years. After being employed by various agencies that provided services using both a nonprofit and for-profit model, Ms. Gingles was inspired to create a high-quality agency that maintains gold standard services rooted in communal values. Denisha’s provision of services within the United States and Africa, especially drive her passion to provide culturally relevant services that encompass the values of each client she serves. She values strong community and organizational relationships, as well as the progress of individual clients.
